Brake Upgrade:
Here's the choices you have in order of ease and price.
1) Stock Odyssey 11" rotors with 94 Legend GS Sedan twin piston calipers and
pads.
2) Complete 99-01 RL brake setup. 11.8" rotors, pads and single piston
calipers.
3) 99-01 RL 11.8" rotors, caliper brackets off or the 99-01 RL calipers,
94-95 Legend twin piston calipers ONLY and 94-95 Legend GS twin piston pads.
If you're buying the calipers new from the dealer, you will need to order
all the anti-rattle clips as well. They do not come with the new calipers.
These are the clips that go at each end of the pads and also inside the
caliper pushing down on the pads. If you buy "loaded" calipers from a parts
house, they should come with these clips AND matching pads as well. Just
remember, use the pad that matches the calipers you use. RL calipers use RL
pads etc.
I didn't have to change the master cylinder with the setup I"m running. I do
not know how things will be with the 99-01 RL single piston calipers though.
A few more bits of advice. If you use the 99-01 RL 11.8" rotors, you'll need
to "persuade" the brake dust shield with a pry bar to move it away from the
rotors and caliper mounting brackets. Not allot, but just enough so it
doesn't rub.
If you use the 94-95 Legend GS twin piston calipers, you need to mount them
on opposite sides of the car. Just remember, the bleeder always faces up. On
the Legend, the calipers mounted on the rear of the knuckle but they mount
on the front on the Odysseys.
